Sjövall's Defeat in the Quarterfinals of the FIP Silver Tournament in Australia

Finland's Max Sjövall and his Australian partner Dominic Bechard suffered a defeat in the quarterfinals on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the FIP Silver Australian Open tournament in Sydney. The fifth-seeded Dutch pair Julian Prins and Youp De Kroon won the match in straight sets with scores of 3-6, 0-6.

With their quarterfinal win, Prins and De Kroon advanced to the semifinals, which will be played on Sunday, January 5. The tournament final will also be played on Sunday.

The tournament was the first for Sjövall and Bechard as a team. Reaching the quarterfinals brought both players valuable 11 FIP ranking points.
